We left the Days Inn at Roswell, New Mexico.
Had a quick look round town, not sure if we went to the right place, but I think we might have been 59 years too late for the landing. I liked the theme to some of the places, look at the street lights carefully. Nothing weather wise was happening so we had arranged to meet some friends at the Big Texan, so we headed north east.
On the way back, we got to see some dust devils in the field, click here (5Meg) for a video of one we got before a train came along.
We spent the night at the Big Texan again, eating, drinking and chatting to fellow chasers, Mike and Jim from Cyclone tours and Charles and John from Cloud 9 tours. Pete later on in the night decided to try on Mikes hail hat.
That night the general opinion was that they had never seen such a low in storms and could see no change in the weather pattern for severe weather in the near future. Should we be staying here or calling it a day this year and giving up and going home?
