Nothing is happening today, in fact it doesn't look good for a few day. So the plan is to drive out to New Mexico, if it gets hot enough maybe catch some dust devils, if not visit Roswell. They say you're never alone in Roswell, well looking at the roads I'm not to sure about that, long straight and boring! Needless to say the temp never got up, so finally ending up in a, you'll never guess, Days Inn in Roswell. | |

Thoughts so far | |
| It's half way though our trip, so feel it's time to look over the first half of our tour this year. I've been impress by how good the APRS has worked, I was worried that out in the vast empty plains of the states, there would be nothing to pick up the signal. If you look at a the breadcrumb of where we have been you can see how good it has worked so far, I'd like to thank all the amateurs of America who have passed on my signal and findu.com for the maps. As for the trip, we have seen some good stuff in the first few days of landing, from the moment we landed we were running, but we have yet not chased anything I would call a classic super cell. All the storms we have chased so far have been HP with many cells, which makes hard work and now it looks like we will be sitting around again waiting for something to happen. We have already spent 2 days doing nothing in the Big Texan, the food and beer is good but it doesn't do anything to quench the thirst for storms. Let's hope this weather pattern breaks soon, so we can once more do what we came out here for! | |
