Makeover morning, take one empty car and fill it up with as many gadgets as you can, then a quick call to XM-Radio to get the baron system activated and you have yourself a chase vehicle.
I've been asked a bit more about the radios, so here goes. Scanner at the front, followed by a CB to the left, weather alert radio on the right, then a row of power sockets. Two amateur radios, one giving out position out over APRS, and the other to talk.
We headed down to Abilene, Texas, and while hanging around for something to happen we had time for a quick group picture.
A cell appeared south of Abilene which we spent a lot of time just keeping into the edge of it as it was producing a lot of hail. At times we where driving along roads covered in it.
Final around 9:30 due to low visabilty we gave up and booked into the Best Western, Cisco. At the price they are charging we expect waiter service in the morning for breakfast, but I guess it must have been his day off.
